Overview

• Most walks take place on tracks around Box Hill and nearby areas, including creeks and the Yarra.
• Each walk is about 5 km and lasts approximately 90 minutes.

Schedule & Meeting Point

• When: Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
• Where: A designated meeting spot, typically within a 20-minute drive.
• The term’s walk schedule (with Melway references) is available in the office, on the Strabane Hall notice board, or here.

What to Bring

• Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
• A folding chair and packed lunch if you plan to stay and socialize after the walk.
  • Alternatively, enjoy coffee or lunch at a nearby café.

Transportation

• Walkers usually drive to the meeting location.
• Consider ride sharing with someone who lives nearby.

Post-Walk Social

• If you can, bring a chair or join others at a local café.
• Many walkers stay afterward for a friendly chat or lunch.

Meet in Markham Reserve, near the playground, Victory Boulevard, Ashburton, off High Street.

Meet in Hay’s paddock. Enter park from Longstaff Street.

29 JULY: BILLABONG WALK, KEW, MELWAY 45 G5
Meet in Victoria Park car park, entry off High Street near cemetery.

Meet in Hay’s Paddock. Enter from Longstaff Street.

Meet in Ferndale Park car park off Glen Iris Road.

Meet in the Kevin Bartlett Reserve. Enter reserve from F R Smith Drive off the Yarra Boulevard, Burnley.

26 AUGUST: FORDHAM AVENUE, BACK CREEK, FERNDALE PARK, MELWAY 60 C4
Meet at the Fordham Milk Bar, 116 Fordham Avenue, Camberwell, which is off Riversdale Road. Four-hour parking is available in Kalang Road which runs off Glyndon Road, just before the Milk Bar.

2 SEPTEMBER: ST KILDA TO PORT MELBOURNE ALONG THE FORESHORE, MELWAY 60 G2 📍
Meet at tram stop 54, the corner of Riversdale Road and Through Road, Camberwell, to catch the first No 70 tram after 9 am. Then at Glenferrie Road catch the No 16 tram to St Kilda. Return will be from Port Melbourne, after lunch, on the No 109 tram and then the No 70 tram back to the start. Note: Total duration will be 4 – 5 hours.

Meet at the Studley Park Boathouse, Boathouse Road off Yarra Boulevard, at the shelter near the toilets. 📍
